- The Pennsylvania local e-file SSN correction addressed in M3-3309 is being extended to the following tax collection districts:

E-File: Pennsylvania Local SSN Issue (M3-3309)

The root cause of the Pennsylvania local e-file issue has been identified and resolved. The issue was caused by a Microsoft update that introduced a memory issue, which resulted in employee SSNs being incorrectly zeroed out. The following tax collection districts have been corrected:

The Puerto Rico unemployment (PRSUI) new employer rate has been updated, effective 01-01-2026.

Rate: 2.80%

Tax: Pennsylvania Local Blain Borough LST Tax (M3-3317)

The Pennsylvania local Blain Borough LST tax rate has been reinstated, effective 01-01-2026.

Blain Boro. (Perry) West Perry S.D. (PA-BLA6)

Rate: $52.00

Blain Borough has commissioned Capital Tax Collection Bureau to collect the LST taxes.

The LST tax will now be included in the local agency PA-CAPTAX.

The Pennsylvania local Miles Twp LST tax rate has been reinstated, effective 01-01-2026.

Rate: $52.00

Miles Twp has commissioned State College Borough to collect the LST taxes.
