Employee: Timecard Details Table

The Timecard details table displays comprehensive information about your working hours.

Table 3-5: Timecard Details Fields
Field Description
Date Day in which the employee worked.
In

Time in which the employee punched in. The color of the text indicates how the punch was created:

  • Red—Manually added by an administrator to an individual employee. For more information, see Add Punches to a Timecard.
  • Blue—Added by the employee through the Time Management application. For more information, see .
  • Green—Added by an administrator using the Global Edits. For more information, see Global Edits.

Add Notes - button that allows you to add a note to the punch.

View Notes - button that allows you to view or edit a note that has been added to the punch.

Inf

Infraction, if any, incurred by the employee. The infractions available can be located and edited in the Infractions section. The options are:

  • ABS—Absent.
  • HOL—Holiday.
  • MP—Missing punch.
  • SM—Short meal.
  • LM—Long meal.
  • NS—Not scheduled.
  • LI—Late in.
  • EI—Early in.
  • LO—Late out.
  • EO—Early out.

Type

Type of punch that occurred. The options are:

Department Department in which the employee logged time.
Job Job the employee performed for the particular punch or set of hours worked.
Out

Time in which the employee punched out. The color of the text indicates how the punch was created:

Add Notes - button that allows you to add a note to the punch.

View Notes - button that allows you to view or edit a note that has been added to the punch.

Total Total hours worked for that session.
OT1 Total number of hours worked as OT1. OT1 is a type of overtime rate that applies to a configurable number of hours. For example, all hours worked after 8 hours could be considered OT1 and receive 1.5 times the normal hourly wage.
OT2 Total number of hours worked as OT2. OT2 is a type of overtime rate that applies to a configurable number of hours. For example, all hours worked after 12 hours could be considered OT2 and receive 2 times the normal hourly wage.
Paytype Pay type associated with the hours worked.
Running Total Total number of hours worked for the week as of the current date. This value is updated with the hours from the previous days in the week.

Add Hours/

Quantity

Button that adds additional hours to the timecard. For more information, see Add Extra Hours to a Timecard.

Note: Only available for salaried employees and administrators.

Add Punch

Button that adds an additional punch to the timecard. Whether the time is a punch in or out is determined by the system. For more information, see Add Punches to a Timecard.

Note: Only available for salaried employees and administrators

Delete Row

Button that deletes an entire row from the timecard. This action cannot be undone. For more information, see Delete Hours from a Timecard.

Note: Only available for salaried employees and administrators

Edit Row

Button that makes the currently selected row editable. This functionality can also be activated by double-clicking in the row.

Note: Only available for salaried employees and administrators

Cancel Edit

Button that cancels a row edit and discards all changes. This functionality can also be activated by pressing the Esc key while editing a row.

Note: Only available for salaried employees and administrators

 

 

Hours Summary The total amounts of hours for each paytype the employee has worked for each week of the selected pay period.
Hours by CCClosed Cost Center — Synonymous with "department" in the conceptual, logical hierarchy of levels within an organization. Up to five cost center levels (CC1–CC5) are allowed per company. Level The total amounts of hours the employee worked under a certain department for each week of the selected pay period.
Additional Amount Summary: The total amount of additional pay, such as tips, an employee has made for each week of the selected pay period.
