Account Recovery - No Recovery Codes
If you are trying to reset your two-factor settings in the process of Account Recovery and you cannot find or you lost your Recovery Codes, here are the steps to reset your two-factor settings without them.
Assuming that you are on Step 4 of Account Recovery module.
- Click on the Don't have a Recovery Code? link.
- Enter your full Social Security, EIN, or ITIN to reset your Two-Factor Authentication settings. The Continue button becomes enabled.
- Click Continue. The Check Your Email page opens.
- Go to the email address associated with your account.
- Open the email from no-reply@payentry.com titled Payentry Two-Factor Reset.
- Click on the Reset Two-Factor button in the email. The Secure Your Account page opens in your default internet browser.
- Select an authentication method to use as your two-factor authentication.
- Enter the Security Code you should have gotten using one of the authentication methods. If you chose:
- Authenticator App: Scan the QR Code shown on the screen using your preferred Authenticator App and then enter the provided Security Code in the Enter Security Code field.
- Authenticator App: Scan the QR Code shown on the screen using your preferred Authenticator App and then enter the provided Security Code in the Enter Security Code field.
- Text:
A text message has been sent to the phone number phone number you have entered previously. If you do not wish to use that phone number for text messages, click the Change Phone Number link to enter a new phone number. Enter the code you received in the test message into the Enter Security Code field.
- Call:
Answer the call that you receive, it will mostly likely be from an Unknown Number, a few moments after you select the call option. An automated voice will ask you to press 1 to receive your code, and after you press 1, it will recite the code to you. Enter the code you receive into the Enter Security Code field.

Click Continue after you enter the security code to reset your two-factory settings.
