The Storeroom Package Viewer

If you do not want to run the program to view the encrypted files from the media, you can copy the contents of the media to a hard drive. However:

  • All of the files in the package must be copied to the same folder. Do not separate the contents of the package.
  • Do not store more than one complete package in a folder. Separate Storeroom packages require separate folders.

Assuming you are going to run the program from a CD-ROM supplied by your service bureau, perform the following steps:

  1. Insert the CD into a disc drive.
  • If auto-run is enabled on your computer, the program StoreroomPV.exe will start.
  • If the program does not start automatically: open Windows Explorer (the file manager), find the appropriate disc drive, and double-click on the file named StoreroomPV.exe to start the program.

The program displays the Please Enter Password dialog:

The program displays the Browse for Folder dialog:

The program wants you to select a location to store files that as they are decrypted. All files on the disc are encrypted; they must be decrypted before they can be used for viewing or printing.

If you select Cancel, the main screen of the application will appear, but there will be no data listed until you select an output directory.

  1. Select a folder into which the files can be decrypted and click OK.

After you define the file location, the program displays the Storeroom Package Viewer window:

The top section contains the document controls: the buttons, drop-down field, check boxes, and radio buttons.

The main portion of the dialog is the list of the documents in the lower section that you can view, print, and/or copy to your hard disk.

  1. Use the document controls to work with your documents in the Storeroom package.

For explanations of the fields and controls in the window and how to use them, see The Package Viewer Menu.
