Prevent User from Submitting Payroll

Formerly KB article 674.

Perform the following steps:

  1. On the Rule Setup tab, select DENY from the access drop-down list.
  2. Select SJob from the objects drop-down list.
  3. Give it a suitable description in the Description field, as shown in Figure 2-84:

  1. Click on the Record Rights tab and enter the following in the text field:

This jobClass <> SubmitPayroll

  1. Click on the Field Rights sub-tab:

  1. Click the Mark All button to the right of the Deny changing fields column to select all the available fields.
  2. Click on the Function Rights tab.
  3. In the DENY executing functions column, put an X in all the boxes, as shown in Figure 2-87:

  1. Press F11 to save your work.
