Limit the Types of Miscellaneous Checks a User Can Add

We want a user to add agency checks, but we need to block them from adding Tax and Transfer checks. How do we do that?

The short answer to this question is: you cannot do that.

This example involves a user selecting company > Payroll Manager > Misc Checks tab:

The user clicks on the yellow star button to add a new item (a miscellaneous check).
The system displays the Add Check dialog:

The Check Type drop-down list includes three valid entries: Agency, Tax, and Transfer.

Millennium® 3 security does not have provisions to limit which options a user can choose from this list. Currently, you can either allow the user to add a miscellaneous check—including all three types of miscellaneous checks—or you can deny the user from adding miscellaneous checks altogether. In other words, it is all or nothing.
