Create a Read-Only Role or User

Note: Before applying any security rules (including the examples below) to a user or role, please test them.
The utility below, ReadOnlySecurity.zip, allows you to pick a role/user and limit the role/user to read records only—not change, add, or delete records.
This utility requires that you understand security, conditions, and record rights. For more information, see Plan Your Security Configuration and Conditions vs. Record Rights.
The utility offers you the following options:
- Picking system items, company items, employee items, or all three
- Allowing the role/user to run reports or not run reports
- Assigning a condition to company and employee items
- Assigning record rights to company and employee items
- Limit the user to only see their self in security (still cannot modify)
- Option to clear existing rules/conditions from selected user or role
