The Report Properties Dialog

The Report Properties dialog is a report feature that allows you to customize reports and determine printing settings.

Changes you make to the report properties for a particular report are retained until someone changes them again. To reset the properties back to the default settings, you must delete the report from the reports list and then add it to the list again.

There are seven tabs in the Report Properties dialog and each one determines different settings. However, certain settings will differ depending on the report or how the settings function.

  • Report Info - customize the report name, sub titles, print destinations, and display options (page numbers, date, logo, etc.)
  • Print Options - determine printing settings: number of copies, paper size, orientation, collations, duplex printing.
  • Date Selection - set dates on which the report's data will be based.
  • Data Selection - select filters and ranges to create reports based on specific data.
  • Subtotals/Breaks - customize a report’s sort order, page breaks, and totaling.
  • Additional Formulas - turn on special settings (these differ for each individual report) for each report.
  • Output - determine output format, destination, and where the report should be saved if not printed.

For instructions on how to add a report to the list, see Adding a New Standard Report to a Report Page.
